Watching the news has been genuinely terrifying: Pelicot trials, Epstein papers, the stifling of our right to protest, and the systemic neglect of marginalised communities. It leaves me with a heaviness that\u2019s hard to describe. It\u2019s a constant reminder that for many of us, safety and dignity are still treated as optional.<\/p><p>\u200bAs a member of the LGBTQ+ community living with a hidden disability, I know exactly what it feels like to have your existence debated or ignored. But my defiance isn\u2019t just for myself; it\u2019s fueled by the systemic failures I see every day\u2026 from the prejudice faced by people of colour to the wheelchair users stranded on train platforms.<\/p><p>\u200bI needed a way to turn this uncomfortable energy into meaningful activism. This brand is my response to the headlines that demand our silence.<\/p><p>\u200b<\/p><p>so, I dusted off my textile design degree from over a decade ago and put my time towards creating original, hand crafted, protest prints. These have been featured on this site, printed on demand through a print partner, Teemill (the best eco credentials I could find), and I also sell a selection of my art through Etsy, printed by hand.<\/p><h2><strong>Purpose Over Profit<\/strong><\/h2><p>\u200bI believe a business should show up for the communities it represents. That\u2019s why I commit to donating minimum 5% of all profits to charities on the front lines of social justice.<\/p><p>However, I'm not quite in profit yet. In fact I've been mainly using my own money to fund this, firmly calling it a passion project... but I hope to change that as I grow my presence. In the meantime, I do what I can to support charities... for example buying blank tees from my local charity shop to make my hand made tees, occasionally found on Etsy.<\/p><h2>\u200bEthical by Design: the\"On-Demand\" Model<\/h2><p>\u200bIn the world of fast fashion, someone always pays the price... usually an underpaid worker or the planet. It would be hypocritical to fight for social justice while trashing the environment.<\/p><p>\u200bI am often asked how a small, independent activist brand can stay truly ethical. The answer is a made to order circular model. Unlike traditional brands that overproduce and send unsold stock to landfills, your garment doesn\u2019t exist until you order it.<\/p><ul><li><p>\u200bThe Materials: Every piece is crafted from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. No toxins, no pesticides, just renewable resources.<\/p><\/li><li><p><\/p><\/li><li><p>\u200bThe Makers: I partner with suppliers who prioritize fair wages and safe conditions, ensuring the hands that make your clothes are treated with the dignity they deserve.<\/p><\/li><li><p><\/p><\/li><li><p>\u200bThe Carbon Footprint: By printing to order in the location closest to you, we avoid the emissions of shipping finished stock back and forth across the globe.<\/p><\/li><li><p><\/p><\/li><li><p>\u200bThe Remill Process: Our clothing is designed to be circular. When your shirt eventually wears out, you can send it back to be remade into new yarn.<\/p><\/li><li><p><\/p><\/li><li><p>\u200bPowered by renewable energy and shipped in plastic-free packaging, I\u2019ve made sure my environmental footprint is as small as it can be.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>\u200bHonest Growth<\/strong><\/h2><p>Most of what you pay goes directly into sustainable tech, organic materials, and ethical labor. I\u2019m not here to get rich; I\u2019m here to build a platform for change. Operating out of my small workspace in Hertfordshire, I do everything myself... from the initial linocut carving to the final website photography. I\u2019m on a shoestring budget, which means you might notice things look a bit \"homemade\" around here.
